NYC Calendar Release Party in Brooklyn – 11/13/14

NYC Calendar Release Party in Brooklyn
Saturday, November 13, 2004, 9 pm (directions below)

Sliding scale contribution at the door (at least $5 suggested).
Contributions over $15 get you a calendar! Calendars will also be available for bulk distribution.

Proceeds will be divided between: Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), the New York State Task Force on Political Prisoners, and a variety of smaller groups that do direct support work for political prisoners,
refugees and immigrants facing detention and deportation in the Montreal area.

The calendar features 12 full color images – including collage, murals, woodcuts, and more – and over a dozen pages of writing created by and about former and current political prisoners and prisoners of war. Some examples include writing by Puerto Rican prisoner of war Oscar Lopez Rivera, poetry by Assata Shakur, writing on Abu Ghraib by
political prisoner Tom Manning, writing by Leonard Peltier and Angela Davis, collage by recently-released political prisoner Laura Whitehorn, and much more.

If you are unable to attend the release party, but you would like to order a calendar for yourself, for a friend, or in bulk, visit our website at: https://www.certaindays.org

The calendar release party is being organized by the Revolting in Pink affinity group and will be hosted at the home of Emily and Franklin (thanks!).
